Objectives/background:
After RQA had assisted the company in creating their product recall plan, the next step was to ensure the product recall team were trained.
Methodology:
The training, over one day, covered many areas of product recall with much interaction encouraged between the product recall team. The course was customised to the company and its products and position in the supply chain and included case studies and a "mini simulation"; an interactive simulated exercise to really challenge the product recall team and ensure the product recall plan is robust.
Outcome:
After the training, the team felt they were in a better position to manage a product recall incident if it were to occur, having a better understanding of the important issues and challenges that arise during a product recall incident.
