Any higher price or premium product could be the target of counterfeiting. RQA are increasingly being tasked to employ their field representatives to look for counterfeit products at retail as a starting point to tackling the issue.
- Sometimes it is obvious when a product is counterfeit, however often counterfeiting can be difficult to detect. Perhaps some inferior products have been packaged in very similar packaging to your own products in order to disguise that counterfeiting has taken place. RQA field representatives can purchase example products and then either carry out some basic assessment to determine if they are counterfeit or send them back to you for further testing.
- Grey imports are also a growing area of concern. Perhaps products destined for export have found their way back onto the local market and you need to find out how? Why not use RQA to visit a selection of stores across known problematic countries and have samples / photographs sent back to you?
Following store visits, RQA will provide a list of retail store names and addresses visited, enabling you to easily identify which products were purchased in which store, to help you begin the process of investigation.
RQA's results can be used as legal evidence in court.
